
Now that the weather has switched from warm winter jackets, toques and mitts, the summer weather invites you to get outside at parks and the beach. That means wearing more revealing clothing and most people are scared or intimidated with that idea. There are some proven tips that can guarantee you will be enjoying the outdoor activities without being self-conscious.
First off it is important to not sacrifice your mental health for the pursuit of a perfect beach body. Your own competition is yourself and to build self-confidence, self-esteem and to not be fixated on the physical self only.

Here are some tips to get in shape for the beach:
💪 Don’t over eat or under eat for your caloric needs (weight loss, strength/muscle gain or to maintain body weight). Listen to your body’s needs!
💪Eat high protein foods and high fibre foods to create satiety.
💪 Avoid highly processed foods and eat as many fruits/vegetabkles as you want.
💪 No refined sugars (breads, pasta and white rice).
💪 Exercise 5 to 6 days a week.
💪 Stay hydrated daily.
💪 Get 7-9 hours of sleep daily.
💪 Limit alcohol to 1 unit per week or less.
💪 Maske a plan every sunday for the week ahead and make monthly goals with action steps to achieve said goals.
