Getting outdoors and exercising after a long winter season is so liberating and motivating. We encourage you to embrace this new found motivation and literally run with it, but don’t forget some simple rules to follow for safety.

Aside from wearing proper footwear, clothing, sunscreen and letting someone know your location, the biggest thing to be aware of is overheating.

Overheating is no joke and should be taken seriously so you avoid the dangerous pitfalls.

Follow these tips to avoid falling victim to overheating::

💪 Hydrate the day before, during and after your exercise.

💪 Eat fruits all day to provide electrolytes for your muscles and organs.

💪 Avoid being outside during the hottest parts of the day.

💪 Wear a hat and sunscreen.
