Manage Your Stress with Exercise

Unfortunately we all deal with stress on some level and from all different areas of our life. The key is how you manage your stress. 

Often we choose to use things such as junk food/comfort foods, alcohol, drugs, high risk activities that can end up negatively affecting our health and in turn increasing our stress. This is the opposite effect that is desired but in the moment feels good because we reach a point of giving up and wanting to improve our mood immediately.

The best alternative is to find a physical activity to reduce your stress as quickly as possible. When you exercise you increase your endorphins which improves your mood and energy systems. This is a very motivating feeling and it helps you focus on solutions instead of giving up. To get the most benefits from exercise reducing your stress, you should do it consistently everyday. This can significantly change your outlook for the long-term instead of just the immediate future.

Here are some great activities you can do to reduce your stress::

💪 Resistance training.

💪 Bike ride.

💪 Walking with a friend.

💪 Swimming or running.

💪 A team sport as this helps with mental, social and physical health.

💪 Hiking.
